Hi, I'm a new owner of a 2 acre apple orchard and am looking to make some cider. They are (I think) cooking bramleys and so will be adding eaters to make a suitable blend.
So let the fun begin.
Regards Colin.

It's a good rule of thumb that if you can bear to eat the apple then it's not much use for making cider: eaters make it rather bland. Use your bramleys and try to add a generous dose of crab apples rather than eaters.

Thanks Magistrate - will try and locate some crab apples and see how I get on.

Colin.
