Baby It's Cold Outside targeted as being an example of sexually coercive behaviour.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-46413209

In my view, the man in the song is simply concerned for the lady's well-being. The clue is in the song title - it's cold outside. Chances are she would not have had appropriate footwear for such conditions, and the road gritters in those days were lamentable. If he let her walk home (there were no cabs in the area) he would get berated for letting her out alone and not allowing her to stay inside.

He was in a no-win situation.

How can these idiots think "Whats in this drink" is a reference to date rape drugs

See what all the fuss is about below.

    BBC -

The tune takes the form of a back-and-forth conversation where a man tries to persuade his female guest not to risk the journey home in bad weather, but to have another drink and spend the night with him instead.

Normally performed as a duet between a man and a woman, it features lyrics such as:

"I simply must go (But baby it's cold outside)

The answer is no (But baby it's cold outside)."

Another line, "Say what's in this drink? (No cabs to be had out there)", is perhaps one of the most controversial, and has been interpreted by some as a reference to date rape.

This line from the BBC article sums it up too many people getting offended by too many trivial things especially if you are going to start moaning about songs from the 1930's.

"The world we live in is extra sensitive now, and people get easily offended, but in a world where #MeToo has finally given women the voice they deserve, the song has no place."

Yeah, but the good news is you can just buy a CD or MP3 with it on or something, and listen to it as much as you like. I think I've actually got a couple of versions of it to be honest (I'm pretty sure one of them is the Tom Jones/Cerys Mathews one.... lol)....

Oooh, they'll be going after The Man Who Would Kill For Love next.... It's clearly about some sort of crazy stalker murderer person.... :laugh8:

See this empty field? This is where I keep all of the....

    You get the idea. :p

OK - so what's the difference between a perfume and a fart?

One is Eau de Cologne. The other is Colon Odour.

    Open fires pollute the air and are an environmental crime. It should be amended to;

'Chestnuts warming unsatisfactorily on a ground source heat pump'
