I haven't made any homebrew for years now and I'm a bit rusty, I'm going to buy new kit again and start next week and will look forward to making my own once again, I'm thinking of doing brew to bottle instead of using a keg which I've not done before can anyone recommend some good advice for doing this,

Cheers everyone

Hi Richard and welcome.
Yep. You brew your beer and then stick it in a bottle and bung a lid on it.
A few things to look out for, though. Bottled beer isn't cask beer since a bottle is sealed and has no way of venting excess pressure. You need to mash a bit lower and use a good yeast. Many yeasts that are suited to real ale will result in overcarbonation in your bottle. You also need a yeast that flocculates well and stays in the bottle when you pour the beer. Don't use finings. The beer will clear by itself and finings tend to loosen the yeast deposit. Use a couple of PETs for each batch so you can keep an eye on what's going on through the turgidity of the PET bottle.
There. You know as much as I do, now.
