Just knocked up brew#5 - don't you just love Brew day?!

OG 1053 with FG predicted 1005 for 6.5%.... Seems too strong to me - given i used their extract, their sugar (650g) and the prescribed 23 litres total make, what have i missed?

An ale yeast would not usually ferment from 1053 down to 1005. A Saison yeast certainly might, but that cannot be described as an IPA for mine.

If the FG is 1013, the ABV would be around 5.3%, which sounds more realistic to me.
