I made a jacket

I have been reading that light damages beer, I made a jacket out of left over foil insulation, it was remarkably easy to do, I wrapped the foil around the fv with a cut out for the tap then cut made cuts downward in the top overlap to the fv lid and then folded then inward held together with gaffer tape as is the side join.
Opinions please , worth the small effort ? Will it do anything useful ?

Nice quick job, will it do anything it will in this weather you may need to take it off in summer
