... and decided to move over to "Extract Brewing" and "One Brew at a Time" so I have to following to offer for sale:

    1. A 100W Aquarium Heater. (Used in a trug for fermenting.)
    2. A Heating Pad. (Used for fermenting.)
    3. A Temp Control with Probe (Used to control the Heating Pad above.)
    4. An Inkbird STC 1000. (Laughably wired.)
    5. A 25 litre Wilco Fermenter.
    6. A 25 litre Wilco Fermenter with a Heating Coil. (Used for Hot Strike and Rinse Water.)
    7. A 25 litre Wilco Fermenter with valve for bottling.
    8. A Bottle Wand for the above.
    9. 25+ 650ml Flip-Top Bottles with Tops.
    10. A Bottle Tree for 45 bottles.
    11. 4 x Stainless Steel Bowls that I used for weighing out the grain.
    12. A set of Spring Scales (to 2kg) that I used for weighing out adjuncts.
They all worked fine the last time that I used them but:
    • Where appropriate, the Electrical Wiring isn't certified 'cos I did it myself.
    • Some of the 650ml bottles still have a brew in them! (I refuse to thrown a brew away!)
I daren't give them away 'cos SWMBO will take lumps out of me if I do, however they can be picked up for £20 from our home in Skegness in the next couple of weeks if you let me know that you want them.

If no-one wants them by the end of this week-end, I will put the lot (less the bottles of course! :laugh8: ) on the Spilsby Market Auction this coming Monday 9th September!

PM me if you want to pick them up 'cos I'm not going to post them! athumb.. athumb..

Sorry, but no-one has offered to pick up any of the above so they will all be going to the Auction at Spilsby Market tomorrow morning!

Just a bit about the Spilsby Auction. Many years ago (back in the 1960's) I was at the market with my Dad and noticed a set of silver plated fish knives and forks that rather took my fancy. I pointed them out to Dad and then went walk-about to have a look at whatever else was on offer before the auction started.

I returned just as the auctioneer was offering the fish knives and almost immediately I heard the auctioneer say "Half a crown! I'm bid half a crown." There was no response from the crowd so I indicated that I would go to five shillings. My bid was acknowledged and I then had to watch my Dad (who had appeared from nowhere on the other side of the crowd) bid seven and sixpence to buy the fish knives and forks.

I was a bit upset to say the least; back in those days, half a crown (12.5p) was a lot of money, so I walked over to Dad to protest. He was quite proud of the fact that he had bought the knives and forks for me for "Only seven and six!" so I pointed out that I could have bought them for five shillings had he not outbid me! "Ha!" was the response "I was the one that bid half a crown!"

    Happy Days!!

I've still got a Bottle Tree for 45 bottles and about 30 x 650ml (ex-Fischer) Flip-Top Bottles; complete with spare tops and washers, if your still interested.

Pick up from Skegness of course: and you may have to make it quick. The Solicitors seem to have stopped going on holiday and our move to the new house is now described as "soon"! ( I think in "solicitor speak" this means "Sometime in the next decade!" aheadbutt aheadbutt)

I'd certainly be happy with the bottles, if you don't mind - but it would be Saturday before I could get to you!
