This might be rubbish but I figured I'd throw it out there.

Could it be a problem with the CO2 itself? I don't keg and don't use CO2 so have no experience but could an off flavour come from a contaminant in the CO2 cylinder? was it refilled recently?
Foodgrade co2
Doubt it v much

Again although I’m not sure I have ascertained the exact culprit or problem, I do want to say thanks to everyone who has commented and given feedback
I am really hopeful that I can turn this a round as getting close to getting rid of it all at the mo

like I said I may go the bleach route as I mentioned before or maybe vwp or Antiformin
Don’t think it’s anything in my process tbh
As wasn’t having problems before

I replaced it all with new before this beer
All new tubing
Disconnects, valves and duotight fittings

Any ideas
Feel like giving up
I had a problem with out of date yeast that caused polyphenols, a band aid type of taste and very very bitter, I got rid of it by bleaching everything and then a good rinse followed by sterilisation.

Just a thought,
I use bottled spring water for all my beers, but could it be that I’m cleaning my fermenters and kegs with chemclean and chemsan made with my tap water which is quite hard?

would that make a difference and add that bitter aftertaste?

May have to bleach the lot the way things are going

@Leon103 Does this look like an infection?

this is the beer in the fermzilla it’s fully attenuatedfrom 1040 down to 1006 with m44
Temperature was 20c slowly ramped up to 22c.
This is day 10 after fermentation started and hit fg after 6 days. There has been a good inch of krausen on top and I have just given a little shake to try to get to drop out, as the beer underneath was clear and yeast looks to of dropped out

Not that I can tell. That just looks normal.

thanks @Leon103
Never had a krausen not fall out
Had to give it a shake to get it to there, guessing it’s suspended Protein’s

any idea how long it takes to drop out?

Can you chill it? If so it'll drop out in hours. It looks totally fine to me.
I think you should give all your kit a good bleach soak,a good rinse, an oxi then sanitise it. Then carry on brewing.
