Hi, I’m currently fermenting my first IPA style beer, is the conditioning time reduced for this style of beer? I normally keep at room temp for a week or so for carbing, and then leave in my cellar for 3 months (mainly kits, and a couple of BIAB ales previously), but people seem to turn their IPA’s around faster than that... I wondered if that was correct, and also... why?!?

Only you know when your beers are at their best. So you just have to sample one now and again along the way and when you think its come good start drinking it. But keep one or two back to see if they got better with age or went the other way

When I make IPAs I crack open the first bottle 2 weeks after bottling. The reason being hop character degrades over time.
