Is there a work around for this thick layer of mould on my cider?

I checked up on one of my ciders and it has a thick layer of mould on top. Is it possible to siphon off the cider underneath and leave the mould or is the batch a gonner?

It might be, but you may find the act of inserting the siphon tube breaks up the mould layer.

Is it dangerous to drink or will it just taste bad?

I'd never throw anything away. Siphon it off and give it a try......
