Got a DIPA I could maybe enter, gonna give it a taste tonight to see if it's OK.

What's the cut-off date! I'll be sending it on Monday if it's alright.

Aiming for week beginning 10th Feb; so if it's with me on the 10th then I'm more than happy to include it.

Same rules apply to all other members interested in entering this month's competitionathumb..

Ah, fellas, my West Coast IPA is a (coff) limited success. I'll still send it in, and maybe tell the story after judging!
Hopefully we'll be able to tell the story for you:laugh8:

The good thing about the forum comps is that they're a free way (minus postage of course) to have your beer peer-reviewed by fellow home brewers. Unless winning is all that you're interested in, every month is a potentially great opportunity to have faults in your beer picked up by the judge(s) and the root cause hopefully pin pointed. IMO, it's less about winning and more about improving your brewing technique. Certainly that's how I see it. Glass always half full!

Just gave my DIPA a try, tastes OK to me. Probs not a winner, but I'd love some feedback as it's my 5th ever brew (beer that is). Pm me your address and I'll send it over on Monday.

Edit - It's in 330ml bottles, shall I send one or two?

I'm sure it'll be grand.

It's up to yourself whether you wish to send one or two. But one thing I will say, is that if there's a lot of sediment in the bottle then two might be better as there's two of us judging.

All being well I should have DDH pale to send you for this. Might be with you nearer 10th, hope that's ok @Ghillie :)?

Could you pm me your address and I'll get it over to you.

Sounds great!

As long as it's with me before we crack the bottles open for tasting then all is wellathumb..

My beer was posted today.
The eco American wheat beer.
Thanks for that!

Happy to include this in the competition, even though it could be argued it's not quite fit per style. What yeast did you use?

As said, I'm happy providing everyone else entering the comp is alsowink...

3kg Minch malt
2kg wheat
Munich
Acid malt
50g Chinook
100g centennial
100g equinox
Yeast s05
It has zero pale maltclapa

At least you've gone with a top fermenting yeast though haha.

As said, I'm happy if everyone else is. Thanks a lot for entering!

Minch malt is ale malt 4-6 EBC. You can't get much paler. wink...
The competition have little to worry about. This is my first attempt at a raw ale. Just looking some honest feedback (criticism):laugh8:

Excuse my ignorance. I assumed a typo of “Munich”.

I’m sure the beer will be great and the feedback will be both honest and constructive:thumba:
