Hi Chaps,

I bought a second hand King Keg top tap a month or two back with a pressure cap and a small cylinder. It was a very good price.

It won't hold pressure though, but has no apparent leaks. I'm suspecting the cap seal, or the pressure cap mechanism are leaking slowly there appear to be no splits at all.
They aren't exactly new and may well be at end of life.
Am I on the right track? Where should I be able to source spares?

Probably the lid seal, I find I need a keg spanner now to tighten mine enough to seal (didn't originally). Failing that, could be the pressure release valve - the little rubber seal that cover the hole has a shelf life and needs to be renewed every few years. Some soapy suds around the outside when gassed up will help find the leak.
