I've had no problems with White labs opshauq kveik dried from slurry after first culture. I've kept it in the freezer since and then just drop a few flakes onto the wort when using it.
How much do you pitch? 5g? 10g?

I actually pitch about 4cm x 4cm of dry frozen flake. Kveik seems fine with an underpitch.
I've used it on fast lagers and pretty much anything that says wlp001 yeast and then spund it early so it builds pressure.
The flake is about the thickness of quality writing paper. I'm using some on Sunday I'll weigh a bit to see how much it weighs.
I've had my kveik strains in jars for over a year. Still starts in no time. Kveik is no joke

Used the kveik Sunday I used 2g. Container said I harvested it from a stout over 3 years in freezer. Think it's costing me about 50p in yeast.
