Simple question: when making a starter with a liquid lager yeast (specifically in my case Wyeast 2487 Bock yeast) do you do it at lager yeast temperatures, say 12C? Or room temperature as I would normally do for an ale yeast starter?

You're not worried about clean flavours when making a starter so room temperature is fine.

Thanks all. It’s also an old yeast from the lucky dip so will need a big starter, though I will only do 12-15 litres
