Really pleased with this. Probably not original, but sharing in case of use to others.

I've been using an old shower head for 'watering' my mash. Unfortunately: (a) the spray doesn't work properly under the low water pressure from the boiler less than 1m above; and (b) the excitement of moving the spray around soon wears off.

Solution: a length of 3/8 tubing, a 90º elbow, a strip of plastic from the base of an old bin, and a 1mm drill: et vwalah...!
  • I drilled the 'dripper' holes about a 1/2" apart
  • if you haven't got a 1mm drill, then a needle heated up in a lighter flame would probably work
  • I had a 1/4" plug left over from another project, but a bit of dowel or suitably sized bolt would do
  • I drilled 8 evenly-spaced holes in the plastic strip using a 9.5mm drill - this seems to provide a sufficiently tight fit to hold the pipe in place
