Making chocolate extract for a porter

I'm experimenting around with getting chocolate in beers. I've made a couple of chocolate beers using bought chocolate liqueur and cocoa nibs, and now I'd like to do one using my own extract. I have a lot of cocoa nibs, does anyone have a good ratio of nibs to vodka/rum etc?

• 8 oz vodka, bourbon or rum
