Hello all,

I had not seen a review on this kit yet. Here is my experience with the Mangrove Jacks Australian Pale Ale. Brew started on 02/08/21. Made using 1Kg of light DME and 200g of brewing sugar. Dry hops are Melba 30g and Citra 20g. Yeast was M44 US West Coast 10g.
OG = 1.048 yeast pitched @ 24 degrees C . 12/08/21 I took a gravity reading and FG = 1.008 and I added the dry hops. 16/08/21 Moved FV down to the kitchen and transferred the beer to a bottling bucket. I added 180g of brewing sugar to 400ml of water which was heated in a saucepan until dissolved and close to boiling. After cooling the sugar solution was added to the bottling bucket just before beer was added. Following a very gentle stir I proceeded to bottle the beer and had a yield of 40 x 500ml bottles. I then moved the batch back up stairs to an airing cupboard which has a steady temperature of 22 degrees C. On the 04/09/2021 the beers were moved down to the garage to condition.
16/09/21 tried a couple which had been in the fridge for 24 hours. Mangrove Jacks produce really great kits, and this one is again a fantastic brew. As good as any craft pale ale I have tried in the past. It has beautiful malty, citrus fruit taste, and is clear and very refreshing. Well done again Mangrove Jacks. I don’t know what else to say other than I’m going to enjoy these.

Stop it! Stop posting really positive reviews which immediately make me want to go out and buy yet another kit for which I don’t have the capacity or bottles!

Ha Ha! Your just as guilty 😂. You have inspired me to try these kits and add pink grapefruit juice to the mangrove Jacks Pink Grapefruit IPA. Mangrove Jacks are amazing. I have done Pink Grapefruit IPA twice, Irish Red Ale, Bavarian Wheat beer and last night I bottled my second batch of Juicy Session IPA. All have been fantastic and the Australian Pale Ale is well worth trying too.
Next to go on is Festival Razorback IPA and then I’m going to buy a Bruphoria Wit or Wit out you from the Homebrew Company.
Only complaint is that they are too nice. I’m pulling back on my consumption now and getting back into running training . Time to lose this Covid stone with the help of parkrun.
