Mangrove Jacks' M54

Just bottled a Helles brewed with M54 and it tastes a lot like a hefeweizen. I'm definitely getting a fair bit of banana. Anyone else used this yeast?

I used it in a couple of California Commons and haven’t had any banana flavours. I’ve found it a clean yeast that enhances the malt flavours.

I'll give it time to condition but I was quite taken aback when I went to bottle.bI bought a Helles kit to keep the production line going and used the supplied yeast. I wouldn't have thought yeast packaging errors could happen.

Fermentation temps are controlled so I think I can rule that out. Strange one.
