So I acquired a Geterbrewed gift voucher for my birthday and also recently acquired a false bottom. I'm planning to install a ball valve into my mash tun but am a little unsure as to which connectors, washers etc. I'll need to purchase along with it.

I know I'll need a 1/2bsp hose barb but other than that I'm a bit confused as to if I'll need a nipple or a coupler.

Any of you able to have a look on Geterbrewed and give me some advice?

Many Thanks

I went for those items. The connectors come with a suitable sealing washer. Some 15mm pipe is required alogwith it. The outlet on mine is about an inch of 15mm pipe with a 15mmx10mm reducer with another inch of 10mm pipe which the hose I happened to have fits on.

That was for a rectangular cool box type mash tun and it works well.
