Probably the best lager in the world - no it isn't. Furthermore, it isn't lager anymore.
Probably the best pilsner in the world - no it isn't.
The king of beers - my ar$e it is.
Guinness is good for you - no, it really isn't.
Strongbow quenches thirst - doesn't all drink do that?
Kaliber, you can drink as much as you like - you can but why the bloody hell would you want to?

Studies show... then read the small print and sample was small with no statistical significance done.

On the flipside, I love it when people say "marketing/advertising never works on me". It works on everyone.

B.M.W the ultimate driving machine - no its not its just a car with a badge certain people think makes them look important.

B.M.W the company that used to prides itself on 50/50 weight split, rear wheel drive and sporty handling now makes front wheel drive bread vans and tries to tell the sheeple they are near identical to drive.

I seems I have made a mistake, I thought this site was for amateur(love of) brewers with knowledge that they care to share with idiots like myself who are just trying a few kits( and failing), and people with a sense of humour. Please direct me to the right place. Tonto.

If you are attempting irony, it's always a good idea to add a smiley. Anyway, don't take umbrage. Chippy meant no offence, I'm sure. Where's YOUR sense of humour? :laugh8:

Yes, you have made a mistake. You've wandered into the snug - "This is the place for all non brewing chat". If you just want brewing info, make your way to the remainder of the forum

My wife and I can't stomach regular TV so we don't see much in the way of commercials. I watch sports on regular TV and have to hit the mute button during commercials because they're so stupid.
Non-stupid advertising (rare if not extinct) is fine by me.
BOGO is big here and has to be meaningless. Subtle trickery mixed with greed. With pizza, they cut the ingredients in half and shrink the size. Drives me crazy with ice cream too. Used to be a half gallon. Now it's 1.5 quarts and possibly 1.25 quarts here and there. There's only one brand that I know of, besides small companies, that puts only cream, sugar, eggs and chocolate into their ice cream. If there's more than four or five, I put it back.

I worked in a pizzeria for a number of years. A large pizza is 16" and not 14". Annoying when I see it.
