Hi. I’ve heard from a couple of places that you can use milk to clear wine. Has anyone tried it? Is it for real? What are the pros and cons vs bentonite?

I have been here several years and can honestly say i have never heard of anyone using milk as fining, i would leaving the milk in the fridge and get some -

Thanks for the reply. I’ve only used bentonite up to now, just curious about it more than anything.

Thing is, sometimes it takes a week or 2 to clear Wine right?

sooooo... are you gonna leave the nice milk out of the fridge doing whatever horrible thing it’s doing to your otherwise wunderbar wine for that long?!

I think not lol.

I use bentonite. Lately it’s taken a double dose with another racking to clear a couple of my wines wierdly. Although one of them had potato in so thats my fault really lol
