Mini keg carbonation gadget

Hi all, I've decided to go down the mini kegwould be much appreciated route for my brews and have got this gadget off amazon. Will it be able to carbonate my beer? Will I need to add sugar/drops? Will it be drinkable sooner? Any help or ideas will be much appreciated

It's usual to carbonate by priming with sugar (using a lot less than when bottling)
and then using the CO2 to top up as the pressure drops when you have poured a few beers.

It'll will carbonate the beer, but it will probably take a couple of capsules to do it. Much cheaper to use sugar and let it carbonate naturally, then use the cartridge to top up the pressure once you start serving as Richard says

Recommended guidance is Max 12g of sugar per minikeg. They're not great at holding high pressure

Thanks guys. Will I still carb at the same temperature (20ish)? Or lower it as the kegs won't take the same pressure as bottles?

This is my stock system i use 12g priming sugar with a hand pump if the beer is being drunk within a day or two and the party star CO2 if I am drinking the beer over a week.

Brilliant thanks everyone. I have the hand pump also I used it when the ghost ship keg was nearly empty to get the last drop! Great information
