I buy my grains from GEB made up as a custom grain kit and I'm looking at adding acidulated malt to most of my recipes instead of using lactic acid additions.

Should I be aware of any major changes to my brew day or beer, from making this change?

I predominately make best bitters and to a lesser extent some hoppy pale ales.

Thanks everyone athumb..athumb..:beer1::beer1:

I think the extra grain that has been acidulated will account for part of your grain bill. I have used both but do prefer to use acidulated malt as my preference.
In a 21ltr batch I either use 170grams of acid malt or if using lactic about 5/6 ml to get a similar PH in my brew but it will be different depending on your water.
Its as simple what you prefer so just use either but as I said the grain version will account for some of your grain bill albeit a small amount

Thanks for the swift reply, I have added it to my recipe in brewfather software and to get to 5.2PH it's coming out at 90g in a 21 litre batch.

I did read that it will lighten the beer ( I'm assuming that means colour?)

I don't know why I haven't tried this ages ago !
