Muntons liquid malt recipie suggestions

I stumbled across the following link from muntons with suggestions on what beers to make fron their new liquid malt extract range :

In the instructions they say to add hops when you add yeast.
Would adding hops that early be OK?

I don't normally add hops then, and usually aim for 3 days dry hop before the cold crash - or 7 at a push (I find some of the more punchiness of stronger hops is lost after day 3).

That said, due to competing priorities, I once left a beer dry hopping for 3 weeks, and it was totally fine with no grassiness that others have mentioned.
