Hi Gents - check this out - I documented my first all grain brew - what a mission! I'm posting this a few months after doing it so that I could let you know the results. It was OK - I was trying for an IPA - it turned ok but had a weird taste, but was very strong - I ended up using it as a mixer with another kit brew - half and half with Evil Dog IPA - proper head cracker stuff! I've since done a Stout with Chocolate malt and it was outstanding.....

Nice! And that is a strong smash! How's it taste?
The mix of the 2 beers was excellent - but the all grain IPA on it's own was very difficult to drink. It had a strange taste that I find hard to describe - I think on reflection I should have dry hopped in the FV too - another 50g of Chinook or something. Still not bad for my first AG.

My go to APA is something like this:

4kg marris otter,
15g citra @ 60
25g of citra and same of cascade @ 20
25g of each @ 10 mins

50g cascade and 35g citra dry hop in a few days. Crossmyloof kiwi pale ale yeast
