Hold on that's a DMASH not a SMASH 😂

Looks good, I love a bit of Challenger. But how is that an American pale ale? You're using a British hop and English yeast? And no offence, only trying to help, but I think it's going to be quite bland, notty isn't exactly known for imparting a lot of character. I'd be using a yeast that would make the hops shine (and using some American hops) or using a characterful English yeast if you are sticking with challenger. 👍

Cheers Oneflewover i just used american pale as a reference point in brewmate so no offence taken, i have other hops all english, i was going to go with bramling cross or fuggles i agree on the yeast i have not used a lot of english yeast will have to do some research i do have a pack of cml ale yeast and suggestions are welcome athumb..

Brew it as-is and see what you get; nothing wrong with a simple recipe. Then you can decide if you want to do something different.
I completely agree with the premise that there is nothing wrong - at all - with a simple recipe; most of mine are. But I think that in this case there's not much going on in respect of the malt, or the yeast or the hops. To each their own though!

Maybe not, but sometimes that really hits the spot.
