Hi,

ex wife finally got round to clearing the remnants of me from the brew house i built in our garden. Its been 8 years since i brewed and i dont think i am ever going to be in a position to brew like this again so i have decided to sell it lock stock and barrel, i will post pictures as i get them and there is a short video tour of the big equipment, to get the kegorator out of the brew shed i have to remove the door frame, its also no longer my house so no time wasters please, i cant just turn up with visitors but if you are genuinely interested in purchasing you can come and see it.

inventory:

1 x True double sided coke fridge, one side has the glass removed and a UPVC insulation panel put in its place to mount five chrome taps, these feed through to the C02 manifold mounted on the inside, you can fit five cornie kegs and the C02 bottle in one side of the fridge, the other side still has the glass in the door and there is shelving where you can fit over 200 500ml bottles !!.
The fridge has had all the shweppes gubbings removed and i installed a thermostat directly to the compressor and to a heat tube mounted inside the fridge, this kept everything inside the fridge at a constant temperature.

1 x Tall larder fridge that was my original kegorator before i got my hands on the big boy, its has some plastic taps mounted on it, i stopped using it as a kegorator and turned it into a fermentation cabinet that would store 2 x large fermenting tubs, again this has a heat tube and a thermostat wired in to it and the comprossor, there is a small fan built inside of the fridge to give a good airflow, this cabinet maintained a constant temp and was great for precise fermenting.

1 x 100lt HLT, it has two kettle elements inside and i also installed inlets to attach a pump to, this allowed you to whirlpool the water as it was heating to help with stratisification of the heating water, there is also a visual water gauge, that could probably do with recalibrating as it is somewhat crude but works well.

1 x 100lt boiler, two kettle elements inside and there is a level guage also built in on the side, it also has a mesh bottom strainer.

1 x 70lt insulated stock pot that is the mash tun

The, HLT, boiler and mash tun all have removeable tap fitting for cleaning, these can be removed and boiled in water to sterilise them.

8 x cornie kegs

1 x pump, i used to attach this to the HLT to whirlpool the water, it can take boiling water and this would sterilise it before it would be put to use to drain the boiler of wort

1 x Heat exchanger, this was hand made and worked very well, it might need the fittings resealed, it was made by passing copper tube inside a larger hose, it was very effective at cooling the wort down very quickly

1 x Heat exchanger (incomplete) this was a secodary one i started to make but never got round to finishing, it is just the copper inside of the hose and has not been sealed up

2 x C02 bottle (one empty)

1 x Nitrogen bottle (empty)

Lots of bewing gadgets and paraphanalia, hydrometors, bottle capping and caps, tubings, john guest fittings, a soda C02 bottle for portable dispensing.

There is a link to a video below of the fridges and i will post some pictures of the actual brewing gear once i can stand it all out, i will also link some videos of it in work if i can find them.

I used to make some cracking beers with this setup and was going on to add in RIMMS and what not but alas i ruined my marriage and that was the end of that, its needs a good home to go to and will serve anyone well for a very long time to come.

I will post more pictures as i get them..

I am looking at £2000 for the whole set up lock stock and kegs, i am open to very sensible offers.

by the way, the coke kegorator is on casters and can be easily moved around

Less than that, i basically had the HLT on top of the tall fermentinbg fridge and used gravity to drain it of to the mashtun on the side table i had in there, the boiler was next to the mash tun and i used gravity to drop that out to the 20 lt plastic bucket then tipped it into boiler, i would then connect the pump to the boiler tap to pull it through the cooling coil...it worked so bloody well...(i must add the pump to the inventory) the pump was £200 and can stand boiling water, i used a solar pump for operating the whirlpool on the HLT but they didnt last 10 minutes, then i started using the big boy and the beauty of that was is that it was getting sterilised in the process

my next task was going to get a bespoke trolley made up with three tiers and mount the pump to it.... I DONT WANT TO SELL IT 😩😩😩

i drank one of the bottles you can see in the fridge, tasted fine for 7 year old beer but it was like rocket fuel !!

Whatever happened has happened. I've been there and got rid of stuff that I regret to this day I did. If you truly don't want to sell it then don't. You can start up again on the future.

I don't want to take the **** or mess you about but I am interested but I don't think at close to 2K if you can post some pictures of everything I can give you some idea of my interest.

I will get the other pictures very soon

Sorry for the long delay, i have finally managed to get the gear out to take pictures, the mash tun, HLT and boiler look a bit grubby on the outside, i need to clean them up, theres a few minor corrosion spots on the lids on the outside but inside they are good, bit of scale on the elements and inside of HLT.

I cant seem to edit the original post....there are only 7 cornie kegs, not eight

I am mainly interested in the 3 brew vessels, the chiller, the pump and the cornies. Would you sell only these? and if so how much would you want? I have a small interest in the fridges but not likely at the value they are to someone that really wants them and have no way to transport them.

Can you transport them?... I will take 1500 for lock stock and barrel, everything there

Sorry but the timing for me couldn't be worse for the next few weeks, with selling a house and opening a pub again with staff issues. I don't think i'd find a space to put the fridges in the next 2 weeks. If you don't find a buyer you could message me again just before you look for/arrange storage but I think its likely a no. Good luck though.

right...last offer...if anyones interested....i will remove all the C02 fittings, bottles and the taps from the fridges and bundle it all with the rest of the stuff, this will include the 7 cornie kegs and just leave the bodies of the fridges for the ex mrs to deal with...£1000 the lot.
