New kit - PinaCoLager from Mangrove Jacks

I'm not a lager drinker, but this might appeal to some. New PinaCoLager kit from Mangrove Jacks, described as a light and refreshing lager with a sweet, juicy tang of pineapple and tropical coconut aroma. ABV 4.9%.

I do like a good lager and the MJ Helles is really good, but I'm not sure I'd go for this, pineapple and coconut in a lager does not appeal to me at all.

When experimenting with brews (my favourite base was a Wilco Cerveza) I gathered what seemed like a thousand flowers from a very spiky gorse bush.

Why? Well I’d read somewhere (probably here) that gorse flowers imparted a taste of coconut but, despite the amount of flowers, I only managed a hint of coconut so I finished up adding +/-30ml of Chilli Vodka to the brew and drinking it over the winter!

I love the taste of coconut and will possibly give the “PinaCoLager” a whirl if the LME Bulk Buy option fails to materialise.
