Hi Folks, I have been brewing from kits for about ten years but am just starting branching out into doing it the hard way. Got a lot to learn!
 
Hi and welcome to the forum.
The hard way you say,if you've been brewing kits for ten years the only real difference is going to be an additional 4 to 5 hours onto a brewday for mashing, boiling, cooling and transfer or you could just no chill.
Then you'll have to decide what method suits best whether all in one,2 or 3 vessel,boil in a bag and so on but they all end up with the same product and satisfaction.
