Their first game under new ownership.

Steve Bruce takes charge of the 1000th game of his career and possibly his last at Newcastle, i wish them well after being stuck with Mike Ashley for 14 years they deserved a break.

TEAM NEWS

Newcastle United are boosted by the return of forward Callum Wilson, who has missed the past four games with a thigh issue.

Jamaal Lascelles, Joe Willock and Jonjo Shelvey are available following injury.

Two unnamed Tottenham players have tested positive for Covid-19 having trained on Thursday and will both have to isolate for 10 days.

Spurs full-back Matt Doherty is also a doubt after he sustained a knock on international duty.

Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez and Emerson Royal are travelling back from South America but should make the squad.

Sergio Reguilon is pointing out something to the referee on the far side. Looks like something from the crowd. This can't be good.

Oh no. Paramedics from both sides are now sprinting over to the crowd. Please let whoever that is receiving treatment be OK.

The right decision is made on the pitch. Play has stopped here. We've seen scenes similar to this only too recently in games of football. All we can do is hope for the best.

The game is still on pause, with both sets of players down by their respective benches. This is the quietest it has been in this ground for a good while. People are sensing the potential gravity of what is going on. We still don't know what exactly, but both medical teams were very quick to get over to the stand on the far side of the ground.

This is the right call. Referee Andre Marriner is sending the players inside with what we can only assume is a supporter receiving medical treatment.

The person who had the cardiac arrest is now stable the game has restarted Spurs have scored again 3 - 1 with a couple of minutes to half time.

3 - 1 and -

"You're getting sacked in the morning" sing the Tottenham fans towards Steve Bruce as Newcastle struggle to get a foothold in the game.

They quickly follow it with "no noise from the Saudi boys".
