5 weeks ago did an all grain BIAB blonde ale

    pale ale malt 9 Kg
    light crystal malt 250grms
    torrified wheat 250 grms

    65 litres H2O

    mash 90 mins @670C

    boil 90 mins

    56 grms northern brewer @ 90 mins
24 grms northern brewer @30 mins
    24 grms Tettnang @ 10 mins

    yeast SO4

    OG 1041
    FG 1012

    ABV 4%

    primary 1 week
    secondary 1 week

bottled with 5ml dextrose stored in boxes in garage

Just tried last night after being bottled for 3 weeks and no/ very little carbonation although tastes good with a larger tang - garage is cool - should I bring the 75 pints into the house to warm up and then see if the carbonation is better? Has the yeast just gone into hibernation and need warming? :hmm:

    thanks for any advice

yes warm it up to room temp for 2 weeks I'm sure you'll find the bottles will carbonate.

I would bring them back into the warm for 2 weeks and then put them back in the colder garage to condition.

I've accidentally under primed beer and find I prefer it to the over carbonated stuff you can buy. To make the beer more lively get a pocket beer engine from your local pharmacy.
