Hiring a van will be more expensive, but at least you know you will not only be legal but have comprehensive cover.

Check the tax is valid and all the tyres are legal before driving off as, if you are pulled over and they are not you will be responsible, not the hire company :thumb:
 
Just found a company that will do a van from 5.30 Friday to 8.30 Monday for £100 rather than £150 (since its technically 3 days) going to move as much as we can in the car and then on Wednesday after the carpets have been laid establish how much still needs to be moved, may only need a van for 1 day...
 
My also be worth scanning the local ads, for that money you might be able to hire a man with a van. He does all the driving and helps with the moving.
