Thought I would have a go at CJJB's Marigold Wine, which says '3 quarts of Marigold Flowers'. Managed (by planting in spring) to pick 6 pts over about a week, storing them in a mesh bag.
It also said 'no stalks' so I have just spent a looong time picking all the petals from the heads, ready to go into the must. Wondering now if I needed to have done so. Any thoughts? Anyone tried this?
I'm hoping for an attractive looking wine, and probably quite a light taste. We shall see.
