Agree about the penny buns, lovely!
The best I've had is some winter chanterelles picked on holiday in Scotland. Also some amythest decievers, hedgehog mushrooms, and my favourite just because it's so weird, the beefsteak mushroom!

Agree about getting the kids involved, just need to find the time and put the effort in.
Beefsteak mushroom jerky is 👍

Pilots licence (PPL) not done any hours this year:(, play golf, play guitar and snowboard (in the winter).

My dad was about 5 hours off getting his PPL when he lived in the states. Love skiing and snowboarding too! Where do you normally go?

Forraging probably my cheapest hobby. I took little Hagrid out today and she stuffed her face with blackberries!

Anyone into wild camping? I was in the woods over the weekend with my brother and couple of mate.

Gardening (mostly fruit trees and bushes, much of which I brew with, probably going to be drinking a melomel made with last year's crop of redcurrants tomorrow night), cheese making (pretty much perfected my own recipe, hard cheese, kinda like a cheddar/edam hybrid) and writing (seven novels published on Amazon so far).

Also a huge movie fan, comic book enthusiast and weekend gamer.

Are your gyms not open yet? We've been back for a few weeks now, thank goodness.
Mid September at the earliest according to Sturgeon. I can go to the pub with my pals or get tattooed (I actually need to arrange a touch up appointment for my latest one) but I can’t go and lift an Olympic barbell on my own!

Cycling, I have raced over the years and did in fact race in 2019 winning the national age group points series for road racing.
Photography has been a semi pro activity, full time for a few years as a landscape and wildlife photographer but more recently more commercial work and more recently been doing promotional videos, more as a hobby than a job.

What’s your favourite comic book?

Or top 5 at any rate

I love all the Judge Dredd's from the 80's, most of the '2000AD' stuff in fact, I was constantly 'borrowing' them from my older brother when I was a kid.
More modern stuff, I tend to gravitate towards anything Deadpool, X-Men or Spider-Man.
I'm not a big fan of DC, with the notable exceptions of Batman and Harley Quinn, much more of a Marvel kinda guy really.

I'm mainly into boardgaming outside of brewing. My collection:

Used to be a drummer, but that doesn't really work in a terraced house, so I'm down to individual drums now. Also play the ukulele.

I'd like to get into woodworking, as I think I have the patience and attention to detail. Just don't have the skills yet. But I'm, apparently, building a summer house for the garden, so we'll see!

Fishing in various forms, metal detecting, local history,cooking... especially Indian food...and day dreaming...

I watched Detectorists over lockdown - I used to have a detector when I was a kid (requested by me for a birthday) and spent about a month after Detectorists obsessing over getting a detector, before realising that the costs involved and the relative time I'd have to actually detect were pretty insurmountable...

Astronomy, gardening and kids.
Luckily my daughter also loves astronomy and happily spends hours on a night with me looking at stuff through my 12" dobsonian scope and playing with her camera on the back of my tracking mount.

Loved that show though have never seen the last few episodes, even the pirate stations don't have them. Can you not hire detectors in the UK? I haven't found any gold, bullet shells horse shoes and nails is my lot.

Growing fruit & veg, used to play snooker before lock down, apparently touching your balls can give you covid, playing golf, touching golf balls is ok! used to run half marathons up until last year, when they said the pain in my knee is arthritis! Growing old is a bugger!! Can't wait for my gym to re-open and the sauna! God I miss the sauna! Apparently that gives you covid too! Going to a rave with 2 million other people and taking loads of class A's is fine though! Might get back in to that hobby! I heard it's good for arthritis.

VW T4 restoration, BSA gold-star restoration, Hiking in my local Yorkshire Dales twice weekly, model engineering, playing hide & seek with my wife so I can do all of the above, before I'm copped to do diy around the house. Which I don't mind but would rather be doing the other things.

Foxy you're best bet dirt fishing in Oz is either with a specialist machine for gold in the outback or get a salt water friendly for the beach for modern finds..Minelab are an Aussie company so you should get a good deal.
Single/fixed frequency are no good on the wet salt beach as they "see" the salt and salt being metal give you false signals. An auto tune multi frequency deals with it.

I used to coach Rugby, played some also. Fly fishing is my form of fishing, but haven't been for a while. Trying to keep the garage tidy is my new hobby!
