Out of date Brett C vial

Hi All,
I've got an old vial of Brett.C (9 months out of date) and was planning to make a starter over the next week or so and pitch it into a bitter towards the end of primary. Does anyone have experience with this/think it won't work?

Will not need the starter if you aren't using it as a primary strain.
