Love super Kev

Those were the days eh?

All you needed to mess about with a car was a very limited toolkit, a “Haines Handbook”, a bit of common sense and a nearby Halfords or a scrap yard!

Then came “Reliability”, closely followed by “The Throwaway Economy” and then the era of “Specialist Tools” and “Let’s charge the earth to repair this car.

Nowadays, a car mechanic needs something like a degree in computer sciences and it costs a fortune to set up a garage; so why do so many vehicles break down?

Went to the footy this afternoon. Thought this picture summed up front row life. He came off absolutely exhausted and covered in blood. A different breed, props... 🙂

Oh. Went to the game yesterday too. Discovered the prop I took a picture of last week with his white shorts turned pink with blood (Morgan Mitchell) is profoundly deaf. Plays with a cochlear implant now. Previously he couldn't hear any calls on the field and had to rely on lip reading. The surgeon placed the implant a little deeper than normal so he could play rugby with headgear.
Massive respect...

If you can't confidently identify yellow chantarelles then maybe you have no bussines being out picking fungi, I agree.
You must be a happy sole then.

If you confident about identifying the edible from the poisonous
There are very few actually poisonous fungi - 3 I think - but a few that'll give you a bad stomach.
If it looks like an ordinary mushroom but has white gills, don't touch it with a barge pole.
