I've not noticed places that people recomend for a beer !
So as a starter i've had a few beers in the Salt Horse in edinburgh, they do burgers and theres around a dozen taps with different breweries beers. Also a bottleshop which also acted as a cafe where you could have a snack and try one of the good selection of beers (before covid) not sure when its back open or re=opened.

That's a long way from home! My son lives near there, I'll ask him if he knows it.

Usually at home, back garden if the weather is nice, which hopefully it will be a bit more so now.

Best thing we ever did was getting my lad signed up for cricket a few years back at a local club. Training is Friday evenings, he does that, and now my daughter as well, while we drink a nice pint from the club house. Better still if it's a warm sunny evening, currently looking good for tomorrow.

My lads both played for various local cricket clubs. Great facilities and ale normally a lot cheaper than the local pubs and decent vibe/ clientele

Just been to The Brewhouse run by Arundel Brewery at Crossbush

Royal Blenheim, St Aldates, Oxford (joint owned by White Horse, Everards and Titanic) amongst other beers routinely has Plum (and also Cherry) Porter on cask. No food but a very nice pub for a drink in Oxford.

Teardrop, Covered Market, Oxford Located in the covered market its a tiny location also owns the two next door units which contain a wine shop and a Pizza stand (with a proper oven) you can get a really decent pint with a hot fresh pizza and a glass of wine on the side.

Ale House, Reading, located near to the Oracle shopping centre in Reading town centre as well as being near to the Hexagon Theatre, this is a standard stop off point before going to the Hexagon as well as a typical half dozen cask ales they also have a good range of cider, Perry and Mead on tap. It’s a little worn down, but has some nice wooden booths. Just a nice pub for a quick pint.

And if we‘re going to count places we have drunk on a semi regular basis then Oxford Railway station platform 3 with my can of overpriced Gamma Ray from the station M&S when my train home from work is inevitably late again and I think sod it I need a drink (should add I’m not alone in this suprising how many people you see buying and drinking in Oxford Station).

Disappointed with Las Palmas (Gran Canaria)
I had 3x weeks cycling using Las Palmas as a base, one of the bars had 3x draught lines and various different ales though. So if anyone’s over there it was one of the only places I found that was ok !(
