GOAL - Man City 2-1 Man Utd

Ilkay Gundogan

Another for the Manchester City captain!
Fred will be kicking himself as he gives away a needless foul on the right and Kevin de Bruyne floats a free-kick to Ilkay Gundogan, who is left completely unmarked on the edge of the box.
His first-time strike is not as cleanly hit as his first but it bounces through the crowded box and into the back of the net.
The Treble is very much back on!

Shearer mentioned after the hand ball that they are going to change that dumb ass arm in natural position rule, it was not intentional thank god it didn't change the result.

If you see it later i think only united fans would say it was hand ball, his arm was in a natural position.

A man has been arrested at Wembley after a picture emerged of a football fan wearing a jersey with what appeared to be a reference to the Hillsborough disaster printed on the back.

The Metropolitan Police Events Twitter account retweeted a picture of a man wearing a Manchester United shirt that had the number 97 on the back and the words “Not Enough”.

Manchester City beat their rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.

Sharing a tweet posted by an account called Liverpool Photos, the Met’s events Twitter account said: “We are aware of this and have worked proactively with officials at @wembleystadium to identify the individual.

“He has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and taken into custody.”

Ninety-seven football fans died as a result of a crush at a match between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield on 15 April 1989.

They were unlawfully killed amid a number of police errors, an inquest jury ruled in 2016.

A man has been arrested during the FA Cup final at Wembley after concerns about a football shirt slogan.
A photo of a man wearing the number 97 and the words "not enough" on a white Manchester United shirt was shared widely on Twitter.
Some Twitter users said it referred to the Hillsborough Disaster when 97 Liverpool fans died as a result of a crush in 1989 at Hillsborough Stadium.
Police said a man had been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
The Metropolitan Police tweeted that he had been taken into custody.
The force confirmed to the BBC that the arrest was solely due to the shirt worn by the football fan but would not confirm that it was because of its alleged reference to the disaster.

Sharing a tweet by a Liverpool FC fan account called the Kop Watch, the Met's events Twitter account said: "We are aware of this and have worked proactively with officials at @wembleystadium to identify the individual.
"He has been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and taken into custody."
Liverpool West Derby MP Ian Byrne, who was in the crowd at Hillsborough in 1989, described the man's actions as "sick".
He has been campaigning for the disaster to be taught on the national curriculum and told BBC Radio Merseyside: "It's hard to quantify your feelings when you see something as sick as that.
"All the efforts we have put in over the last three decades and certainly myself over the last couple of years and many others about the education element about Hillsborough and you see that idiot with that disgusting top on and you just think, how do you get through to these people."
Officers also said they were investigating after an object was thrown towards the pitch during the first half of the game.
The Met said it was working with stadium officials and reviewing CCTV footage.

A man laughed in the dock as he was banned from football matches after admitting wearing a shirt which had an offensive reference to the Hillsborough disaster on it.

James White, 33, of Warwickshire, pleaded guilty to displaying threatening or abusive writing likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

He has been banned from all regulated football games in the UK for four years after wearing the Manchester United football shirt at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final.

He was also fined £1,000 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £400 and £85 in costs, as he appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court, London on Monday 19 June.

He smiled and chuckled after the order was made.

District judge Mark Jabbitt said: “It is hard to imagine a more … offensive reference to the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.”

The judge added the shirt White wore bore a “hateful expression” – calling it an “abhorrent message” – and that the impact of his actions are “profound and distressing”.

He wore the football shirt to the FA Cup Final match between Manchester United and Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on 3 June.

After White was arrested at Wembley Stadium, the court heard he was cautioned and told police: “You haven’t even asked me what the T-shirt means.”

The prosecution said White had “many” previous convictions, most recently in 2021, but none were football-related.

Police received a series of emails from people who saw an image of the shirt online.

The court heard how members of the public wrote that they were “absolutely devastated” and “disgusted” by it.

Diane Lynn, vice chair of Hillsborough Survivor Supporters Alliance, said it was “very personal” for people who were at Hillsborough that day and that survivors suffered with “guilt”.

“How dare he make us feel like this,” she said.

The defence told the court that White “deeply regrets” his actions and accepts he “hurt people very deeply”.

Kevin Christie of CPS London North said: “White was wearing an offensive shirt which mocked many people and communities that were affected by the Hillsborough tragedy.

“White showed no sympathy towards those people, nor did he care about the impact of his actions.

“The CPS will continue to work with the police in cases involving tragedy chanting, and people who behave in this way will be brought to justice and will be banned from matches.”

Following the sentencing, the FA said: “We welcome the decision of the Willesden Magistrates’ Court to issue James White with a four-year football banning order and a fine.

“His actions at the FA Cup final were reprehensible, and abuse that references Hillsborough or any football tragedy will not be tolerated at Wembley Stadium.

“We hope that today’s ruling sends a strong message that action will be taken against any perpetrators who behave in this way.”
