I plan to do a festival kit and otk it, I have read up and plan to batch prime, I have read on forum about using spray malt? How much ? An is it better then the sugar? Thanks

I'm no expert, but I believe, for priming, white sugar is a good as anything else. Possibly better than DME.

If you have spray malt by all means use it. However as it's only for carbonation i would rather use the much cheaper option of dextrose or even better table sugar as it will do the same job and save your (more expensive) spray malt for adding body/mouth feel to another kit.

DME is less fermentable than Table sugar so you will need to use a little more, and it will not do that much to effect flavour but as with all things, Experimentation is great.
That said, it is always better to go conservative and not end up with gushers (learnt to my cost a few times :) )
