Pringles

I keep reading about using Pringles tubes for posting beer, so I went into Lidl today intending to buy some. I hoped the cheap knock-off versions would be OK, but I went round to the beer aisle, fetched a bottle, and took it over to the biscuit section. Standing them side-by-side, the knock-off versions were slightly smaller and didn't look tall enough. Even using the genuine Pringles, only the soured cream ones looked tall enough to hold a bottle, and that looked tight (I haven't opened the tube and tried yet). Obviously, some bottles are slightly 'dumpier' than others, but have other posters found this a tight fit?

Just cut a bit of double cardboard and roll it round, then tape it.

Order a set of expensive fishing rods. These will be sent in a very thick cardboard tube. Cut tube into usable lengths.
