What a revelation finding this forum. Apart from country wines, wow wines and kits I had a go at fruity turbo cider.

1l red fruits juice from Asda polish isle (100%juice no preservatives)
4l apple juice
Yeast
+ 300ml Robinson’s strawberry and watermelon cordial and 6tsp sugar after fermenting
What a lovely cider! Fermented in plastic water bottle for 10 days, racked and mixed with sugar and cordial- filled french lemonade flip top bottles (750ml) and stuck in shed for two weeks. Actually they still in shed and cleared lovely and stick couple in a fridge for a week to drink. Carbonated to perfection, was worried they might be bottle bombs but all is well!
Not too sweet with a hint of red fruits. Lovely - will not buy kopaberg again :)

Sounds like a winner!
Did you not boil the Robinson's strawberry and water melon cordial to remove the preservative?
If not, then it couldn't have had an adverse effect on the outcome.
