Hello. I have been out of the game for a while and I am after a simple recipe using red grape juice only. My problem is I can't remember how much grape juice, sugar and water are required to make a 5 gallon batch. If anyone could jog my memory I would be most grateful.

Thanks

Mike

The recipe below will do the job but a word of warning i made red juice wine once and it wasn't very nice.

Red wine made from red grape juice doesn't come out like red wine at all due to the lack of grape skins, this has been discussed many times in the forum, have a look at the Rosé wine recipe in post #3.

12 litres Red grape juice.

Make the total sugar content including what is in the juice to 5500g.

5 tsp Tannin or a litre of very strong black tea.

5 tsp wine Yeast (i use youngs super wine yeast compound)

5 tsp Yeast Nutrient.

5 tsp Pectolase.
