Remove formatting.

Could members try the remove formatting button it no longer works for me on Chrome and Edge browser, thanks.

I have now noticed it seems to work in some threads and not in others, changing bold text is the main problem is anyone else seeing the same?

Pressing B doesn't change the bold text when the remove formatting option stops working.

Its not the B & I that's the main problem i am having its the remove formatting button that seems to be intermittent.

Bold and  italics can be removed happily on Chrome on Android.

Just trying it now.

Trying it again. Trying was bold.

It works as long as I highlight the sentence but this is on Waterfox which is an offshoot of Firefox.

Thanks, its very intermittent and as no one else is having the same problem i guess its something my end.

The remove formatting function works fine for Chrome on a Mac, tried drafting a message and closing the tab then coming back to it, and quitting the browser and coming back to the page - still works.

Dang! I didn't even see that!
The Preview icon is the only thing that's not greyed out .
But clicking it does not do anything at all!?
(incidentally, the 'insert image (ctrl-P' icon is greyed out too.
I had to cheat and use the Attach from below instead)

start a test post in this thread under this post then click preview on and off to see if it changes i have tried it and as you say with preview on the only icon in bold is the preview button.

Seems like Preview does as expected in a new post if 'enable BB code [ ]' is used. And then it works for following replies too.

I wonder if the forum code has gone through an 'upgrade' which has broken something. Easily done.

Clearing cookies can solve a lot of problems on forums too but it could be a forum upgrade as Victor said. Different browsers do have their idiosyncrasies as well though.

The box parentheses are toggle BB code settings. You can turn it off and on. So if you loose your bar of controls, just click that and it will come back.
