Went to a fundraising event by Roger Protz last night at the Mad Squirrel Tap in aid of the Red Cross In Ukraine.

Unfortunately it wasn't terribly well advertised so there were only a dozen people there which was a bit sad - but the man himself was in top form, and full of stories despite being in his late 80's. You only had a mention country and he was off - recalling all the different cities and breweries he'd visited there.
He talked us through six different beers; and auctioned off a few memorabilia and books signed by some pretty notable people.

I bought a copy of his 'Family Brewers of Britain' which he said was his favourite one to write, and he was kind enough to sign it for me :-)
