Root Beer

Hi.

Has anybody tried brewing their owe root beer at home? I was thinking of starting and was wondering what ingredients/sweeteners work best and how best to carbonate the drink.

Oh now I never thought of this one. I LOVE root beer so I will look into this one. :)

After a quick check around for five minutes the ingredients seem a little difficult/expensive to source, mainly the barks are difficult to find in the UK or for a decent price in a small amount. But I will keep looking as I really would like my own rootbeer.

At risk of necromancing a dead thread, did you ever find UK source for ingredients and/or manage to brew your own Rootbeer?
