Electrics – if you use electrical equipment make sure its safe, especially if you ‘modify’ it, and don’t even think of bodging it. And also remember water/beer/wort and electrics don’t mix.
There's a popular YouTube channel that I won't name that vlogs all sorts of homebrewing equipment creations. Although done with very good intentions, some of it makes me cringe, especially where the electrical controller is mounted directly underneath the pump when pumps are a notorious weak point in any situation, not just brewing.
 
Yup scolded my hand earlier.

Usually not bothered by it as I have asbestos hands from being a pewtersmith. But lack of work over past few months has turned my hands fairy soft.
 
Test the RCD in your home. This can save your life. If it's old get a new one installed.
