Sealing kegs

Greetings,

What is the best way to seal the valves on a keg if it leaks??

Would a layer of super glue help seal the valves?? Or is there a better method to seal it?

I used to put a dab of vaseline under the rubber band valve thing when I used pressure kegs to provide a better seal and stop gas escaping so easily.
