Heads up for the self employed amongst us, you can now submit your claim on the Gov.uk website.

I got a letter from HMRC informing me what to do, but basically you just need your UTR number and National Insurance number to check if you qualify.

It's easiest to have made an account/login on the website first.

You have to wait till May 16th to start claimimg.

Takes a little pressure of the domestic and financial situation at least.

Actually everyone has a different date and time to start to submit a claim. Go on the online eligibility checker with your utr and ni number and it will tell you if you are eligible and the earliest date you can submit the claim. I have heard of dates between the 13th and 16th so far.

I've been give the start time of 8am on the 15th but told I'm eligible.
I wonder if they will make the minimum payment of the minimum wage or if it's 80% regardless.
