Hey,

I'm due to keg my beer tomorrow ready to be carbonated and I couldn't help but take a peek and noticed all these bits sitting on top.
Should I be concerned? The smell of the beer is fine, I just didn't expect to see these bits.

I used FM30 yeast so maybe it's something to do with that? 🤷‍♂️

Thanks.

Looks pretty normal to me. Sometimes the yeast doesn't flocculate as well and you get some floaters. If it smells and tastes ok, you should be just fine.

I was thinking it could be the yeast but wasn't sure. I haven't tasted it yet but the smell is good! 🤘
Thanks.

Some people use the term “yeast rafts”.

I love it. It’s like there some survivors of the naval battle between good yeast and wild yeast.

Unless you’re making a sour, when it starts to get complicated as to which side you are on. A bit like Switzerland - which ironically is landlocked.
