Single Hop (Centennial) IPA, my second ever AG brew, tasting pretty good but only been in the bottle a couple of weeks.

Hopefully will gradually clear as it's a little hazy (if I don't drink it all before then!) :beer1:

Hi SteveH, Beer looks good. I have centennial hops and would be interested in seeing the recipe if possible. Is it in Brewers Friend?

Thanks, it's based on a recipe I found for bells two hearted on beersmith, there's a similar one in the homebrewtalk top 100.

I was missing a couple of the malts so added a bit more Vienna instead, ended up with (10 litre batch):

2.5 kg pale Maris otter
500g Vienna
Mash @ 67c for 90mins (biab)
Centennial 12.5g at 60, 20, 10 and 1 min
50g centennial as dry hop for last 4 days in the FV.

It's turned out well, next time I might try slightly less vienna and/or a slightly lower mash temperature for comparison. acheers.

So, tried a bottle of my Tongue in Yer Ear golden ale tonight (Jester hopped golden ale), wife has been really enjoying it so I decided to see why she liked it so much. Now I know.... It's almost lager like, lightly hopped flavour and aroma (the initial hop bomb has died right down really quickly) with a lovely hint of orange in there (guessing from the Kveik). I poured down the side of the glass, as I didn't want to knock the CO2 out too much (only carbed to 1.8 volumes on this one).

Poured a bottle for my wife too, hers had a nice head on it though as I wasn't so careful... I didn't take a pic of that though... lol

Oh, and a very sessionable 4.3% ABV.

West coast dipa 9.5% makes a change from all the juicy stuff I've been suppin lately. Been kegged about a week now but still very hazy. I don't care though it tastes amazing! :beer1:

That looks like a top brew @Jaymac. I do like the cider those guys make, how was the beer?
Thank you, very pleased with my first attempt at a brew. It tastes great, much better than expected and family and mates agree, not going to last long! Better than lots of IPA I’ve bought. Their cider is on the list to try.

Had a beer fest today, tried one bottle from 8 batches of my session beer "North Mill". Subtle differences in grain and hop mix trying to tune the recipe. In conclusion - wibble :beer1:

Evening. Trying my coopers stout tonight, 2nd ever brew. Bottled 19 Dec. Head good but didnt stay long, tastes a bit like dandelion & burdock! FG is 1014, OG 1054. Might give this a bit longer, still got some presidents Sierra pale ale left, which I’m thrilled with!
Cider in the FV now also, addictive this brewing lark

Another SMaSH. Brewed November 22nd, second fermentation december 8th and bottled January 20th.
Pils Malt, Cascade hops and Fermentis Safale US-05 yeast.
Turned out really well. Very clear!

Mmm.... you have recipe ?
I made a Dipa grapefruit only turned out 8.3 but maybe I was conservative with grain first mash was 5kg of golden promise only to make strike water for 2nd brew. Added grapefruit flavouring as per advised from malt miller and bottled ! Very drinkable but not enough of the fruit flavours.
So after a visit to Norway I brewed a NEipa yesterday fermenting now and gonna add lots of hops for 4/5 day dry hop
