Saw this on another forum and it'll be interesting for the younger members to see what a proper car looks like compared to todays jelly moulds.

These were the first 5 cars i owned in order.

Learnt to drive in a 120Y Datsun.

Rover Sei- Bought tax free, sold it to my dad to fund my first house deposit and he ran it for the next 18 years.
 
Loved the early escorts but never owned one.

Golfs were the business shame they now look almost exactly the same after every facelift.

First car was a 205 gti, 1.6 in miami blue. Car cost £1200, insurance was £1600. Great car, unfortunately my dad was driving it and someone crashed into him, and wrote it off. I had another 205 after that, which I still have. Stock photo, as I don't have any of my original.

Mine was VUT485S. It was mum's and I bent it but bought it from the insurance company with the profit of my BT shares, repaired and ran it for a couple of years as I joined the Army and then sold it when I went to Germany

I started off with K reg vauxhall viva with black vinyl roof (the K was at the END of the plate)
then a triumph toledo (N)
chrysler avenger (R)
yugo 55A sport - matching cars I had airforce blue and mrs had a red one.

This was my first new car E - Reg - As featured in the Sun newspaper when I was clocked at 93mph on the M42

T reg 1.8 Mondeo - superb handling, great fun first second hand car bought in ages. got it as a 2yr old they lost a shedful in depreciation. ford direct car.

I drive a 1.4 vitara sz5 and the mrs has a 1.4 swift sport.

Then a succession of company repmobiles, mainly Vauxhalls....

Rover 75 - The first car I bought new and my first diesel, I used it as a company car for a few years, ran this car for nine years in total.

Volkswagen CC = Had always liked the look of these, another diesel, good reliable motorway mile muncher.
